Your son needs all the help he can get in this vital area of Jewish life. With this booklet, you, the father, will be better prepared to help him!

From the booklet:

Introduction

The reality in the Torah world is that at some point, anywhere between 4th and 6th grade, a boy will be introduced to gemora learning, and that will be the dominant subject for the next ten years or so of yeshiva, followed in many cases by kollel for several years, and then continued involvement with either chevrusas or daf yomi while in the work force. It is therefore essential that a boy succeeds in both understanding, and developing a taste for gemora, and as such, achieving these goals should be a priority for parents. In the following pages I will present ideas that can and should be implemented in order to achieve these goals. Please keep in mind that not all of these ideas apply in all cases, so parents should use their discretion regarding which ones apply in their individual case. Also, please keep in mind that even if your son hasn’t had success up till this point and is somewhat frustrated by gemora, it’s not too late. Applying any or all of these ideas can be the key to his turn-around at this point and continued success later on.
